ASU Student Housing- 1010 East Lemon Street

Convergent Technologies Design Group, Inc. (CTDG) was engaged by Ayers St. Gross Architects to provide room acoustics, interior sound isolation, and HVAC noise control design services for the IMH Financial Corporation University Village located in Tempe, Arizona. This University Village was designed as a student housing complex for students attending Arizona State University, and included a range of space types such as dormitories, lounges, gathering spaces, retail spaces, restaurant areas, and recreational areas distributed across several buildings. CTDG’s acoustical analyses were aimed at identifying architectural, mechanical, and structural design goals and potential obstacles for the execution of an acoustically appropriate environment for student life and recreation. Included in this effort was an analysis of the acoustic impact of the nearby Light Rail train on student dormitories.
