Culpeper Regional Hospital – Emergency Department Expansion

DESCRIPTION
The Emergency Department Expansion of the Culpeper Regional Hospital required a comprehensive low voltage systems plan. To accomplish this, Convergent Technologies Design Group, Inc. (CTDG) provided design services for telecommunications cabling systems with associated supporting infrastructure for voice/data/RF video outlets, nurse call/code blue, access control/video surveillance systems, paging/public address and intercom systems, and LAN/PBX/Wi-Fi electronics. The project included integrating various low voltage systems, with nurse call assimilating with patient entertainment, LAN electronics communications and reporting services. The building includes a mix of patient exam rooms, operating rooms and administrative areas. The expansion will also support education by providing a dedicated wireless network for collaborative telemedicine with Virginia State University. The project was completed in 2013.
